Which tutorial covers how to root a 4.4.2 Galaxy S3?

I tried to root using this tutorial:

But the firmware version is 4.1.1 and I'm on 4.4.2. I see this is for updating to 4.4.2:

But I'm already on 4.4.2.

Basically, my phone's crashing three+ times a day. I don't want to buy a new one so my plan is:

1. Root my phone
2. Use Titanium Backup or Helium to back up all my apps
3. Flash custom ROM, maybe an S5 clone
4. Restore applications, if need be

Any threads anyone can point me to or tips on anything I've forgotten?
