Indian version stock EUI 5.5.0.14S ROM of X900 for X800 ( international version) ??

Hi everyone. Very excited that i have received my Letv X800 ( international version ) - ( mentioned CE0560 on the back panel) from Gearbest recently .

To my disappointment the ROM is very buggy with Youtube crashing, No color mode option unable to enable Hifi audio mode no System update app.

I am from India. In India Letv has not released X800 officially, but it has released X900 for which it has been pushing good number of OTA updates. As Indian Version X900 is an international version ( Not the chinese Version) and Runs the same Snapdragon 810 processor with 4gb Ram and 64gb Rom , can i install the recently updated Indian( International) stock Rom of X900 to my X800 ( International or U.S version) ?

differences Between X900 vs X800

1. 21 Mp vs 13 Mp ( primary camera) - where as front camera remain the same ( 4 MP- Ultrapixel camera)
2. Finger Print vs No finger Print
3. 6.33 inch vs 5.5 inch ( screen size)
4. 3400 mah Li-polymer battery vs 3000 mah Li-ion battery

Except these 4 differences mentioned above everything else is same in X900 and X800.

In India as LETV is offering content apps like Live , Levidi and Leeco My account would like to utilize these apps.

Please suggest? Will this be the perfect Stock ROM for X800 - International or US version?

How Can I Sign Apk With Same Signatures as Other App

Hi There, I am having Two Apps.
First App Package - com.example.com
Second App Package - com.example.com
Both are created from different online tools.

First app Version is 1.0
Second app version is 1.1
So My Question is, How to Sign Second app with same Signature as First App?
First App is already published on play store.
Reason - I want to update Second App On PLay Store over First app, but it requires same signature.
Any way to sign one apk from different apk signatures,

Not able to send text messages (SMS)

when i try to send a text message, it always fails, i get an error code 96: "Can't send message with telenor, error 96"
i can recieve text messages, and the phone connects to all the main network (2g,3g,4g)

I'm on OxygenOS 3.1.3, and running a Norwegian sim card (Telenor)

Anyone experienced anything similar?
All help will be greatly appreciated.

Stuck on Samsung logo screen after flashing bootloader!

Hey guys,

I was previously on xtresolite 2.4 lollipop rom and saw that he had a new rom out based on Marshmellow 6.01.

The instructions for the installation the new rom said to flash the new bootloader, modem and recovery before installing the new rom.

I flashed the bootloader with Odin using the BL button as instructed and how it's stuck on the Samsung Screen. I can still boot into download mode, but that's about it. It won't let me boot into recovery. Doing a bit of research it says to boot into download warning screen and cancel. Then quickly do the recovery buttons (volup, home, power), but it still won't go in.

So now I'm stuck! i'm trying to download the new stock Marshmellow firmware to see if I can install that, but aside from that I'm not sure what else I can do.

Any suggestions? Since I'm still able to use Odin, can I try to re-install the correct bootloader or is that too late? I'm not even sure which bootloader to install now. :crying::crying::crying:

Bricked after MM update (KIW-L21)

Hello,

I have a huge problem with meinm Honor 5X KIW - L21 .

I wanted to flash the OTA update B320 today .
Before I made ​​it , I have the original recovery installed and the Honor unrooted .
After that I carried out the OTA update . This then broke off with an error .
Now I wanted the Honor boot , but it hangs while Honor logo .
I can not reboot into bootloader .
The only thing that is still possible , the boot into the recovery .

Can the phone still somehow save ?

No Network Connection ?!

Hello,

sorry for bad english

I switched Displays and Touch on an older S4.
Everything went fine.
After that I flashed the newest Stock Firmware for DBT and flashed it via Odin.
Yes Im stupid. Because I didnt check the Original CsC BL and CP.
Anyway.
Everything went fine again, execpt i dont have any acess to mobile network, cant call, cant recieve calls.
The Sim asks for Pin Code I enter my Pin Code but nothing happens.

Wifi works well.

I really tried everything. I flashed a bunch of different Stock Firmware, i did flash a stock full format firmware and so on.
I tried different Modems.
I Swichted the Antenna hardware with an working from my other S4.
Still the Same issue.

I Start my Phone.
Its asking for my Pincode.
But the Network Signal got 2 Bars, whats very wierd, because before i didnt enter my Pin it should no bars at all.
So i enter the Pincode. Still 2 Bars. But not registerd in Network. Nothing.

IMEI is still avaible
S4 I9505 is from May 2013.

Asus Zenfone 2 551ML / Z00AD return to stock

Hi everyone,

I'm not new on the forum but it was a long time i logged into the system.

I have some questions how i get the orginal stock rom for my phone. Last year my collegue update and flashed my phone with a good rom but now i can't update anymore. So i decided to return the phone to the orignal stock rom.

How may i do that, i saw similar threads but a lot of them are already one year old so i taught i ask it on a new thread.

Good to know:
- i have no backup;
- i have the bootloader Team Win Recovery Project v2.8.7.0;
- i accidentally erased everything (except the bootloader);

What i want:
- Original bootloader, so i can get the orginal Asus updates;
- Original and newest stock rom.

And offcourse how i do all of this?

It's for the Asus Zenfone 2 with 4GB ram and the intel Atom 1.8 Ghz 32Gb Storage.

Verizon S5 on AT&T network

I have a Verizon S5 and want to use it on AT&T network. I have the sim in and it works but internet is very poor. Does the Verizon S5 have the radio's needed to operate at LTE speed on AT&T network? If so could I flash an AT&T ROM on the verizon S5 and it work any better? Looking before I replace the phone all together. Please be kind on your response. I have spent the last 2 days searching many sites to find this out and none directly address this that I have found. I am familiar with XDA and flashing as I have been an avid reader for years.

TWRP Recovery Backup of whole system needed

Hi!
i have this HTC Desire 820u device that had some problems and needed a system flash.
when i dug into flashing it , i realized that actually no flash tool actually works with my phone! any efforts to flash this devices was a waste of time.
but one day i came up with a simple solution! using others TWRP Backups!! I managed to find a kitkat backup but it cannot be updated to 5 or 6 since the rom is not exactly made for my device. so if anybody could give me a backup i would appreciate the help:crying:

System backup and emulation for Rooted Soft Bricked Phone

Hello XDA,

It's been awhile since I've made a post, but I'm very unsure about what I'm trying to do.

I have a T-Mobile HTC One S, about 4 years old, that has a damaged display, but I am trying to do a backup to pull out photos and whatnot that I had on the phone before I broke it.

My question is, is there a way for me to do a backup of the whole Android OS and whatever file there is on the phone to emulate it on my Windows PC?

Now for what I've done so far with a bit of back story. The phone broke about 4 years ago when I dropped it and damaged the display and I never got around to fixing it or trying to do a blind backup through the recovery until a few days ago.

I had a friend replace the screen and the phone booted up, except it was soft bricked and was stuck at the splash screen. I was able to get into the recovery and tried to mount the phone to my computer, but it wouldn't let me and I've forgotten what the error message was.

My problem now, is that I've dropped the phone again and the display is broken yet again, but I was curious if I could extract every single file out of the phone and use an emulator so that I can try and get back into it.

Dead phone

Hey all. New to the forums and looking for your experienced advice. My son has a Blu Life One X 2016 which he forgot was in his swim trunks and ended up in the river with him for about 2 minutes. He and his friends took it right away and put it in a bag of rice where it sat for 3 days. After taking it out, it wouldn't boot so we put it on the charger for about 3 hours to see if the battery was just dead. It seemed to charge it because the red charge light turned green as usual but it still wouldn't boot. However, now it will periodically start beeping and vibrating like it is on vibrate or silent mode. I kind of figure it can't be recovered even by changing out the motherboard and battery but I am really curious why the beeps and vibrating. Any thoughts??

Galaxy note 2 constant crashes

Hello, I have a problem with my galaxy note II phone.
I tried 3 different roms on the phone but there are some apps that keep crashing a lot (mostly messenger and some games)
I open those apps and use them for 10 - 15 mins and then they crash , I open em again and after 10 - 15 mins they crash again, It really gets frustrating.
I dont know I there is a solution to this and all suggestions would be appreciated.

AOSP_PURE is ported from Zopo Speed 7 just like it was done during the early lollipop days, with the help of few tutorials available on the internet I managed to port a working marshmallow rom with few big bugs obviously, its a learning process for me and those who wish to test it or modify it are welcome to do it and please comment in the thread what u have done to correct the bug because in the end all we need is Fully functioning ROM and knowledge of how to do it....

Default notifications not working if I add custom ones

Coming from a Nexus5 I wanted to bring across more ringtones/alarms and notification sounds from that device to my new OnePlus 3.

So I got them all from my Nexus 5 and moved them to my OP3.

I couldn't find where the default ones reside, so googled and read (somewhere - don't know where) that they can be added to Internal Storage/Alarms, Internal Storage/Notifications and Internal Storage/Ringtones.

After doing so I've noticed that if I then pick a default (shipped) notification (not one of my imported ones) no sound plays when it should. Although within settings where you pick notifications the full combined list of default and custom notification sounds show.

So it seems that the Internal Storage/Notifications is completely overriding the default location when a notification should be played...

Has anybody else found this?
Could someone else test and back me up on this theory?
Does anybody know the location of the default directories for alarms/notifications and ringtones?

Google Keyboard Help

So I'm using the google keyboard. I'm not sure what happened when, but at some point something changed and now when I'm typing I get two word suggestions for misspellings: 1) as a popup and 2) as a horizontal list of words above the top row of the keyboard.

I hate the popup. Not only are the word suggestions pretty much always wrong (whereas the horizontal list of words are correct), but it's extremely obtrusive.

That said, I can't figure out how to turn the popup suggestions off without also turning off the horizontal list of suggestions. It seems that is both or none.

Is it? Can I turn off just the pop-up and keep the horizontal list of word suggestions?

Losing data after wifi disconnect

Been having this problem for awhile now, but it's getting more frequent.

If I'm connected to a wifi network, be it home or work, and I then step away from it, my data connection will be stuck at 1X (ie no data), even if my signal is at max bars, and I'm in an area where I know I've had data before.

Sometimes toggling data or airplane mode will bring it back, but that fix is working less often now. Rebooting the phone seems to fix it, and I'll immediately get 4G LTE data. But this is happening every other day now, and I can't keep resetting the damn thing every time I get into the car in order to make sure that my email and messaging apps still work.

Is there some way within the settings to force the phone to reestablish data with the tower without resetting?

N6P MM6.0.1 Spontaneous Erasing Of ALL Bluetooth Connections

So I have not seen this one listed... I have been running into a VERY obnoxious intermittent Bluetooth issue. I'm very curious to know if anyone else has had this happen or is having this happen and if ANYONE has any sort of workaround/fix/thoughts/help! I posted this on my car forum as well since it only happens when connected to one of my cars:

I'm having a terrible issue with Bluetooth on my 2015 S85. I'm concurrently working on the Android side to also research.

The problem is with my Nexus 6P running Marshmallow 6.0.1. This is why I'm fearing it's a narrow issue, how many of you who have a Tesla also have a Nexus 6P?

Issues:
1. Bluetooth connection is terrible between this car and my phone. The Bluetooth drops frequently and does not reconnect, or during a call it will just go silent even though it is connected. I am not pressing mute nor anything else to trigger this other than answer the call via the vehicle

2. The really bad problem I am experiencing is where somehow my phone is wiping ALL bluetooth connections when it connects to my vehicle (intermittently this is). This would be a minor inconvenience if I did not have existing bluetooth connections for various other devices, vehicles, watches, etc.

Has anyone else experienced these issues? Can anyone offer any sort of solution or work around/suggestion other than NOT connecting the phone to the Tesla? It is only with this car that my multiple connections get wiped.

my galaxy s7 is rooted, model 930FD.
i have installed titanium backup and remove some apps i dont need on my system.
but, some apps when i remove them the system wont boot. apps like word, powerpoint etc...

why is that? why so important this apps to make the device not bootable.

Redmi 2 'starter pack'

Hi!

Well, its my first thread in the Redmi 2 section. I'm quite experienced with other devices (Moto G, E, Zenfone 2), but its my first Xiaomi device (well, isnt exactly 'mine'. It belongs to my girlfriend) and I have some doubts.

Firstly: The stock firmware is based in KK. Is there an official MIUI based on LP or MM? If yes, is the memory management ****ty like the Moto's? (yeah, Moto's LP and MM was terrible for 1GB RAM devices)

Secondly: For the most updated stock ROM, is there a good custom kernel? Is there need to unlock bootloader or anything else?

Thirdly: Is root easy?

And most important:
Is there advantages to use custom ROMs like CM on this device? Will I miss some features? (camera quality - like Xperia devices)

Moto E stuck on "bootloader unlocked screen

Both posts ask the same questions. but are in the wrong place so can be deleted if in wrong place, my apologies.

I need my phone for alarms to remind me when to take my various meds.
My screen is stuck in bootloader unlocked scren and i cannot switch it off. No access to settings
Somehow i managed to get it into twrp screen but I dont know how I did it, and i didnt know which option to choose after swiping, so screen went back to 'bootloader unlocked scren'
I got back in again to twrp screen but dunno how, and chose reboot, but screen just went totally black, but still on if you know what I mean.
I cannot seem to get it back into twrp screen
I an very tech naiive and routed my phone to get rid of bloatware by watching some very comprehensive indian guys videos.
I cannot understand all the jargon.
I also downloaded 'unlocked bootloader warning fix' but it got stuck at cmd screen, kept saying 'waiting for device' and I didnt even know whether to plug the phone into the laptop or not.
Plus my battery runs out quick.
Dunno how i managed to get it back to TWRP, dont even understand TWRP, what option would I choose on TWRP to get me back into my phone as I rely on it heavily.
I use the alarms and reminders as I have bad adhd, and really need them, a paper diary doesnt cut it, I also need reminding when to take my meds, but without my phone i cant.
So, if anyone can help me get back into twrp then into my phone by teling me what to press I will be greatful. I dont have access to the settings as it is stuck on bootloader unlocked screen.

What picture editors do you use?
I am usually a one app kinda guy and don't want to edit stuff in different apps.
I tried a bunch Pixlr and Photodirector where the 2 major ones.

But i am getting so annoyed with the in app purchases that i eventually removed them both.

So, What editors do you guys use that are feature rich and most of all completely free?

Storage + Rooting

Hi,

Hoping to get some advice from here - I'm on the UK version of the s7 Edge.

I've just got a VR headset and want to use my external memory card to store a few movies - problem is as the storage is crippled the VR player cannot see the memory card to access them.

I've tried converting the card to adaptable storage but the card doesn't show up in widows to copy the movies across to so I was thinking of rooting the phone but would like to know the following:

1. Can it be done without tripping know yet?
2. If Know is tripped are any functions lost?
3. is there any roms that use the storage card in a better way?
4. If I trip knox can a reinstall stock firmware and reset knox (I'm thinking if I sell the phone)?
5. Any recommendations for roms - perfect one would be a stock one with better access to the memory card.

Sharp panel dirty screen effect smudges on greys

Hello guys.
Install dead pixel test from play store and navigate to the grey screen by tapping or.
Open a full grey background on Google.

Go max brightness. Do you see a lot of smudges / dirty screen effect blotches? Or is it just my screen. They would look like darker spots on the grays. I have a lot of them of arbitrary size. More than any other lcd panel I owned.

Turn Old Phone Into iPod

I got a new phone and want to turn my old rooted Sprint Note 3 into a media player.

I won't be using it for anything except playback of audio (and maybe video).

I want it to run as fast and smooth as possible.

Please advise on the best way to do this, and:

- whether the phone will be more efficient by installing a custom ROM or just restoring to factory settings in the normal way

- If I restore phone to factory settings in the normal way, will I lose root?

- In either case, what changes/settings will I need to adjust for minimal processes running and maximum cpu/ram available?

- What is your favorite audio player app for local playback (I will load the phone with mp3s and m4as)?

Transfer WhatsApp message history from Android to iPhone

I have previously had success moving the other way around, but am struggling to move from android back to iOS?

Other than paid for services like backuptrans, does anyone know a way of doing this? I mean I will pay for that software if I need to, but would rather find a free solution as some of these messages I cannot be without.

Help with IMEI Unknown

Good morning,

This cellphone is from a cousin which already sent this phone twice to techservice and it came back this way. Everything seems to be working except that it has no IMEI and no baseband.

What I know is it was never flashed with custom images, just official ones and it is currently with Android 4.4.2.

Any ideas?

2. Power off the device and boot into download mode by holding [VOLUME DOWN+HOME +POWER].

4. Open Odin with admin rights and you should see the phone added at some ID COM: port,
if not then you have to download and install the appropriate drivers.
5. Now click on AP and select the downloaded recovery file.
6. Hit start and the flashing will be done in a few seconds and the device reboots.

Oem unlock

To install a custom recovery and root my phone, firstly I have to unlock OEM.

According to a guide available here in XDA, when unlocking bootloader EVERYTHING will be wiped from the phone.

My question is: Is the ROM itself deleted? Does that mean that after unlocking OEM I wont be able to start the stock ROM??

I seem to have lost my recovery image backup that I made before installing TWRP. I currently have 24.11.18.victara_retca.retca.en.ca installed on my phone, but can't get the most recent OTA because of this. I'm on WIND Mobile in Canada, though I don't know if there's any difference between that and standard retail.

download the latest rom yourself to full speed... (samfirmware tool)

I see that many have problems when trying to download the rom from SamMobile (samfirmware) or samsung updates. the file exceeds 2GB whose limit free download and and there the problem... download via samfirmware or samsung updates have limit speed... need much patiece for that... not to mention that even without those 2GB limit, the download is exasperating about 45kbps.

better options is SAMFIRMWARE TOOL for full speed download.

Linking the Notification Slider to Profiles

Hello all, I've been looking for a day or two and have yet to find anything that quite fits the bill. I'm not a huge fan of the priority notifications feature, I prefer to receive all of my notifications most of the time albeit at a much lower volume when I'm at work. I was wondering if anybody has come across or knows of an xposed module or something similar that would allow me to tie the notification slider to different profiles, so that I can set a low volume for one profile and perhaps all vibrate for another. As it stands, profiles do exactly what i'm looking for, I'd just like to be able to trigger them with the slider like a manual implementation of priority notifications that suits my needs better.

Rebooting problem

I have a Galaxy s7 930f, it always rebooting every day or second day one time, I made a original firmware install with odin, but it did not help me.
Anybody has a advice.
I tried it with original apps, I did not install any other apps.
It rooted but it is does not matter, it is rebooting with root or without root.
How can I find out what is the problem?

How to "lockdown" a phone for users.

Hi, I'm new to XDA. I'm an android developer, but this is a bit outside my wheelhouse. My company is providing no-cost phones to low-income disadvantaged families for health care and health monitoring purposes in conjunction with a local hospital and local health departments. We developed the app in conjunction with local health departments, and we are procuring the devices ( LG G2 (VS980) ) from a wholeseller of refurb phones. We would like to "lock down" the device to prevent abuse and eliminate company liability. The devices remain company property and will (hopefully) be recovered and re-used for other patients when a patient leaves the program. These devices are solely for the purposes of the program and general purpose smartphone functions are only permitted when not affecting the data/voice/sms service plan. (i.e. Calculator)

While I am capable of using Google, I keep finding information about parental locks. I am looking for information specific to:
1. Restricted dialing to a few numbers that we specify (We might have to provide a custom dialer, 911 service ok)
2. In-bound only SMS, No outbound SMS AT ALL (We might have to provide a one-way only SMS app, replacing the default - How to remove the default app?)
3. No ability to install other apps, no google play
4. Auto-update of our app with no google play account needed
5. Restricted web browsing to servers we list (i.e. only patient web portal)

Chrome and Samsung default apps like Gallery don't respond to touch input

Apps like Chrome and default apps like Dialer, Messaging, Planner, Gallery just don't respond properly to my touch input. I have to touch super hard/ bash on the screen for these to respond, and I have no idea why this is happening.

Things I've tried:

• I saw a previous empty thread asking for how to fix the UI lag in Chrome and default applications like Dialer, Messaging, Planner, Gallery etc., but there were no replies there.
• Every other app like Firefox, Swiftkey keyboard, and other third-party apps work flawlessly and touch is instantaneous on them.
• Have tried uninstalling updates for Chrome and Android System Webview and even cleared cache and everything for these but no luck.
• Not something that was happening since the beginning. Earlier touch used to work properly in Chrome also. No idea what is causing this issue.

SM-N920p Keeps rebooting after root on marshmallow . Have i bricked my phone?

Hello all. I am from the UK and recently purchased a sprint model phone. I wanted to remove handsfree activation. In order to do that i need a root. I rooted 5.1.1 with kernel SpaceX-Kernel-v0.1_N920P(official).tar and all seemed ok. Then i noticed that you could root marshmallow. I followed a tutorial on youtube and flashed two files through twrp no-verify-opt-encrypt.zip and SuperSU zip. I rebooted the phone and now i have a persistent problem. After around 15-30 seconds my phone shuts off and reboots itself. I have tried reflashing stock roms and the problem still persists. I have no idea if i have broken the phone as its usable until it shuts off . I went into the about phone section and it tells me the baseband and software versions are unknown aswell. Is there anyway to recover this?

Nexus 5 screen is black?

[Galaxy A5 2016] - 1080p60 Videos Freeze on Youtube.

When playing 1080p60 Youtube videos, they freeze but the sound continues. Moreover, if you either a) constantly tap the video b) constantly scroll comments c) have stats for nerds shown, the video plays fine.
Does anyone have the same problem?

2. copy to sdcard.

battery voltage lowering

I recently bought a new power cord and wall outlet (comes with power bank) from Oneplus since my old one got messed up a bit.

With the production code *#808# under Charger i frequently check my battery voltage and in the weeks i've had my new charging kit i noticed the battery voltage keeps lowering. At first it was around 4.5 vdc and now it's around 4.0 vdc at 100% charge. I'm on OOS 3.0.2 since release.

Should i be concerned ? Because i am afraid that eventually the voltage will be so low my phone won't start anymore. And of course the lower the voltage the more amps are used which makes the battery go from 100% to 0 faster.

*forgot to mention i used OnePlus 2 A2005 north american version (i'm from Québec, Canada )

Going from rom to stock

Hey I would just like to know if I am supposed to follow the exact same procedure shown by "OFFICIAL STOCK Firmware-update" thread if I were to go from a custom rom (renovate) to an official stock firmware installed through odin, or what I was thinking would I go to my original stock backup and then update? [XPOSED][BETA] Recents Floating Apps - Launch floating apps from the recents screen

This module adds a floating action menu button to the recent apps screen from which you can launch floating apps.

Current floating apps
- Calculator
- Camera
- Widget - Launch a widget from any app in a floating window
- Browser
- Note - Write and save notes

How it works
When you launch the app, you can click the plus button in the bottom right corner to add a menu item. You can add any of the above items. The free version is limited to three menu items. With the pro version you can add as many as you want. After you have added a few menu items, you have to either restart your phone or click the settings cog and click restart SystemUI (requires root). You can also find a couple of other settings here. If you launch your recent apps screen now, you should see a floating menu button from which you can launch the floating apps.
You can also use this app without Xposed by just launching the app and clicking an item in the list. This will also launch the floating app. You won't have the floating menu button in the recent apps screen though.

problems with wifi and sd card after rebooting device

Something very odd happened today upon rebooting the device.
I haven't rebooted the device for over 2 months and today I just did that, since then, wifi has been constantly cutting off very regularly and the sdcard has become so slow that ES file explorer can't open it just says loading.

The SD card is kept as before - not integrated - just additional memory for pics and music.
I'm at work now so can't test it on the desktop but it's very odd - is this normal? any help?

I have flash my custom rom.. CWM Using RASHR . its stuck on logo goes On and of..

I used custom rom.. CWM. I decided to flash it. Using Rashr.. By the time i was going to pick a flash recovery i accidentally touch. The img. Zip. That zip was not actually for recovery. It was for upgrade of my software.. Then it happen my Oppor1001 . Reboot and switch to recovery. Mode. But then suddenly the recovery mode doesnt.. Come. Out :crying::crying: . And my phone goes on and off.. I waited for about a day. It does not function itried to hard reset.. It wont come up. I tried factory mode.. But the LCD just goes blue:confused::confused::confused::confused::cryin g::crying::crying::crying:b.. PLSSSSS HELP ME..

I just visited Walmart & seen a LTE V-CDMA byod simcard kit. When did this happened? 5gig data $35? 2 line 8gig shared $60 ?
Haven't seen any news about Total Wireless, this could shake up the MVNO prices.

Is XperiFirm trustworthy?

Hello.

This is my first post, and might be my only one as well. Since I am
not allowed to post into developers' forums, I post this here. I'm
sorry for any inconvenience caused, if any.

After setting things up (download and install Mono, download and
uncompress XperiFirm then reboot) to use XperiFirm on my Mac, I wanted
to check if I could download Xperia firmwares directly from Sony's
servers.

Assuming XperiFirm downloads files directly from Sony, I asked a
friend a command that could give me what I'd need. He gave me two, one

established with an IP address that Whois says belonging to a single
person located in Santa Monica, California. I tried that while

you want to know more you'll have to check this out by yourself.

help! i am running out of storage space after messing up with twrp partitions

helo buddies!!
i am using RN3 snapdragon version.
i unlocked bootloader and installed TWRP and flashed CM13
after rebooting , i observed it was unstable, so i did "factory reset in twrp". :eek:
thats what created everything..then there was no OS to reboot!! somehow
i installed AOSP ROM and rebooted it, But soon after rebooting within minutes storage space is going to kilobytes!!!
i rebooted many times and there was no change.
everytime after wiping cache and data in twrp, storage space is reaching to 25gb and in minutes it is falling to kilobytes.
should i repair system storage to FAT ?

Question on wifi calling country authentication

I travel a lot for work from the US to China. In the past, I've utilized wi-fi calling on my LG G4 on Sprint for texts / voice capabilities. Sprint doesn't allow wifi calling in China, but there was an easy work around: I would VPN to a US based location (needed to access anything google), connect to a wifi network, turn on global roaming and then use a fake GPS locator app set to somewhere in the US. When used in tandem, I was able to to connect to wifi calling just as if I was in the states. I've done this successfully for the past six trips to China over the past year, but my most recent trip to China this method no longer worked.

When trying to authenticate wifi calling, it times out and gives an notification error in the status bar "wifi calling is not allowed in this country". I believe Sprint does its locating via Google (one of the main reasons wifi calling doesn't work here) but that shouldn't be an issue if I have VPN access and can utilize the suite of my other Gapps. During the timeout, sometimes I get a redirect to the following site:

Once I left China, I was able to successfully connect to wifi calling in both Hong Kong and back in the US without any issue. I believe the root of the issue is somehow the location verification has changed and I can't figure out how to properly spoof my location while in China. I've tried different fake GPS apps (need to turn on mock locations), so that's not the issue, but something to do with the network verification. I know the VPN is working because I can access all my other google apps.

having problem with dialer color

I can't change my dialer color for a while now. I tried lots of themes but got nothing. Everything changes but dialer color. I also looked at Dialer Color option under the Personalize menu but no good either. I can select and switch between default and current theme color in the menu, but as soon as I leave the menu selection resets itself to current theme and remains white. I can't even choose default dialer color option. I don't know what's going on :( I searched the internet but can't find any solution. :( Could anyone help me about that ? Thank you.

Can't boot into TWRP on Nexus 5X

Hi guys, having an issue loading into TWRP recovery on my Nexus 5X. I upgraded to 3.0.2 from 2.8.7 (I was having issues with storage not being mounted when trying to flash gapps, so a thread suggested upgrading TWRP).

I flashed the new TWRP with flashboot and it flashed fine, but when I rebooted into recovery it booted my into CM. I have tried a few methods to get it to boot but to no avail. I saw in another post to use fastboot and erase recovery before flashing, that didn't work either. I even tried doing a method using Odin, but my phone won't boot into that download mode either... it just continues straight to CM. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Battery stops charging at 61%

So my battery only charges up to 61%. I've already changed the battery, let it run down to 0% and left it charging all night, flashed stock, factory reset, everything. I bought this phone refurbished. What else can I try?

Also, when charged at 61% gsam shows me the battery has 4200~4300 mV. But it goes down pretty quickly to about 45/50%.

Dead Android/ yellow exclamation mark when booting into recovery

Hello,

I like to periodically wipe the cache after taking updates, etc. When I boot into recovery, I first get "installing update" and then it shows me a yellow exclamation mark with the dead Android guy. After I wipe the cache, the dm-verity check flashes a red message, but if flashes so quickly that I cannot make it out.

Any ideas on what is going on/what to do? I have a standard Verizon S7, obviously unrooted etc. I do have the SD card unmounting issue and I do not know if this is somehow related. Thanks.

T-Mobile Network on G920V Marshmallow?

I realized I posted in the wrong section so I moved here, but I'm not sure how to delete my old post in the General section


Hey guys, so I recently found myself the owner of a Verizon S6 that my dad found on the bus when he was out near Delaware. I thought it would be an awesome addition and that I'd be able to use it on T-Mobile, I've done it before, why not on the S6? Well, for some reason unlike the Verizon S3 and S5 I've used with my T-Mobile Sim, the S6 has been very stubborn. I've tried researching online but have found mixed answers. From what I've read since the posts were kind've old, the S6 could easily be switched to T-Mobile when it was on Lollipop with a simple tweak of the APN settings. Since the marshmallow update was pretty recent, I've tried time and time again with all of T-Mobile's APN's and I simply cannot get it to work. Does anyone have any insight on this? Is it simply because its on 6.0.1?


Some info on what happens:

When I insert the SIM and power on, it simply says "This is not a Verizon Sim" with no service whatsoever and "Emergency Calls Only"
Any changing of the APN has no effect, switching between LTE/CDMA, LTE/GSM/UTMS, and GLOBAL does nothing.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you in advance!
