Candid is a way for you to voice your opinion about specific topics, without having your ideas linked to your personal information. Social media is a great way to share and view content from your friends. It's not always to best place to brag about your new orca-skin coat. When you share stuff like this, you may find friends start to judge you or even get really mad at you. Sometimes you get into it with total strangers who decide to screenshot your posts and send it to your employer! That's why it's sometimes better to express certain views anonymously. It's your ideas that matter, not always the person behind them.
The solution is an app called Candid. This app lets you anonymously share your opinion on all kinds of different topics. You'll find groups of people talking about politics, movies, social issues and even groups based on the town that you live in. Want to let people know that the local pumpkin eating contest is rigged? This is the place to do it. Do people even eat pumpkins? Like can you just take a bite like it's a apple? Hmmm… I'll ask about it on Candid.
Candid users always remain anonymous. Feel free to get into arguments, post controversial opinions or express your love for a fictional anime character. While browsing the app, I found several interesting and hilarious conversations. Here are some of the best topics but often times the comments are way more interesting.

In the last day or so many push notifications have stopped working or only randomly work. Also a couple days ago i had to clear play store as i couldn't install a few apps. I am on Ls992 zv4, holding off on updating joint for root. I will open gmail and sometimes be messages will pop in after a few seconds and sometimes i have to manly refresh and the messages will have a receive till of several hours ago. Sometimes i will get push notifications grim Facebook sometimes not. Another app I'm having problems with is Remind. I won't get push notifications but when i open it there is a new message there. Another issue i have it's the phone now randomly hangs and has locked up several times. I think the only time it has locked up was while using hangouts for video chat. Also since almost day one watching videos on YouTube or web browser videos will freeze while audio keeps going. If you pause the video it may play for 1 second or 30 before it does it again. And the phone can lock up for several second too when this happens. Its like the processor gets backed up and everything at once. Resetting the phone fixes the video and hanging issues for a short time but it will come back. Again i wasn't too concerned about the video issue at first going for root and costumer to fix the issue, but that looks doubtful now. Anyone else have any of these and a fix?

I had troubles in finding the solution. I came across app called Andy, but it's emulator. All I need is:
1. Connect phone via USB with computer PC 2. I have a game on my phone installed 3. I want to turn on/start this game on phone, but 4. play with a mouse or keyboard on my PC ( I mean clicking on the PC screen instead of fingers on the phone).
Is it possible? So when I do some stuff on PC day to day, I will have also a screen on PC of what's going on exactly on my phone screen and I would be able to perform any actions on phone via mouse.
If you help me, I will be so much grateful, Thanks. Mat

Hi, I bought a Xiaomi mi5 from gearbest, it arrived with a vendor version of miui 7.3.x.x. Since didn't want to install any custom rom, I didn't unlock the bootloader. I tried to install the global miui 8, directly from updater app, as I have done with other xiaomi phones, but didn't work.
Then I tried to flash from recovery with no luck, and then I tried to install with miflash and EDL mode. After some tries, I ended with a bricked phone...
At the moment, the phone doesn't boot normal and doesn't boot into recovery mode either, doesn't turn on at all. The led only blinks red when battery is too low, after charging it a bit, it stops. But is recognized as Qualcomm qdloader 9008 by the pc, I try flash again through miflash with different official fastboot rooms versions and different miflash versions, it flash with sucess but the phone is still dead.
I already read really a lot of sites and forums and tried the recommend solution, but the phone is still dead. Only solution that I didn't test yet is with qpst, a tool for Qualcomm SOCs unbrick.
Any ideas?

recently I bought doogee x5 max smartphone from china and I am satisfied with everything except for ONE THING.
the keyboard. even if I type in normal speed. it eats up my words therefore appears like this generally(when typing "xdadeveloper", it is shown on the screen like "xddvlopr") I didnt have same issue with my previous phones (in total 4) and among all keys , some specific keys work worse than others like P or T
I tried everything I could do for instance, updated using OTA, manually flash stock firmware via needrom, had factory reset 3 times, installed almost every keyboard applications on google play turned off every animation setting in developer option.
its not like a lag I guess since if its not about the letter I type being shown say 2 seconds later, but it just omits the some of the letter in a word.
any advice will be greatly appreciated. I know this is cheap phone so I can not expect too much but this annoys me as HEXX because this is keyboard, used everyday, every time I do the task with my device.
Thank you!

This application does not root your device or actually hide SU!!! Everything is handled by suhide, this is just a simple way of adding and removing UIDs without typing commands and looking through lists.
I locked myself out of my phone, and since its my old phone with lots of very important data i really need a way in... It is a Galaxy S1-i9000,no root, data and wifi off, only bluetooth on,and debugging off. Because of the above all the methods i found and tried didn't work. Hi guys, I have this problem with my galaxy s4 mini: a few days ago, soon after rooting the phone with the procedure found in this forum, mobile network began to work only on edge, and sometimes there is no service at all. Therefore, I tried to check the sim in another phone, and it works good, I did a hard reset, and nothing changed. Then, at this point I flashed the rom with a stock firmware, I flashed the modem, but mobile network wasn't working yet, (it was still working on edge):(. Thus, I decided to flash the rom with a CM 13 (snapshot), and here something happened ! In fact, LTE/H/3g have begun to work, but only for short periods of time when in use (looking some stuff on the internet), like 10-20 minutes, and only when the battery is almost completely charged, at least until it reached 60%, then, when it drops below, it begins to have the usual connection problems. Since I've rooted the phone, I haven't installed any app, I put a sd card in it, another thing is that, when I use mobile network (internet or apps) the phone becomes really hot. If someone could figure out what could be the problem, I'd really appriciate your help, Thank you.

New Note 4 user here, (yeah sounds strange upgrading from the note 3 finally, but samsungs gone full potato) and like any other purchase, the hunt for cases is on. I have scoured the internet/ebay/threads for possible solutions to my dilemma and haven't found anything, so I figure its a good time to ask. With my N3 I had the Seidio Dilex Extended battery case with the belt clip holster. This was an amazing combo and accounted for 99% of my needs, minus the stupid negative incline when the phone was flat on its back, due to the kickstand bulge.
Anyways, I am having a hell of a hard time finding extended battery cases that have a kickstand, or have the plastic belt clip holsters for that matter. Essentially it looks like its the Zerolemon and thats it for holster combos, or if I want an integrated kickstand, its the mugen, for outrageous pricing.
I had originally hoped that I'd be able to reuse the same case and such from my n3 with some modifications, since these two phones are very close in size. Well that got quickly abandoned, but there was still the possibility of using the seidio case and cover/holster since they appeared to be the same dimensions. Wrong again. The sides of the case have much steeper angle coming out from the phone on the bottom and top, but could possibly be adjusted depending on how or if I can rework the holster. and the top
I have found a temporary starting point to try and reclaim some of the utility I had with my N3 with a few random pieces from amazon. Anker has been out of stock for a while, unless you want to pay scalper prices on ebay, so I figured I'd give Kranich a whirl for the $25 they asked for 6400mah battery and the plastic textured back panel. Next I picked up a generic tpu honeycomb case (hopefully this is better than the plastic crap I had on my SIII) for $10 http://ift.tt/1Ai8jrQ and lastly found a neat little gadget for another $10, a magnetic kickstand with adhesive. http://ift.tt/1Ai8jrQ
My plan should it go well, is to try and either cut a loop in the tpu case and secure the kickstand to the plastic backing itself, or to the tpu on the outside if thats not possible. Either way, ill make sure to correct the confusing mistake seidio made by putting the kickstand on the bottom of the phone and having it lay with the bottom of the phone slightly elevated instead of flat.
This should get me back to at least the core level of performance that the seidio case I had before offered, with a little less protection I think.
The last problem however, is the belt holster (or whatever you want to call it). Again, not many options, so I am looking at modifying my existing seidio holster to fit my N4 or possibly getting an otterbox holster and trying to work with that. You know, interestingly enough, I figured Alibaba would be swarming with weird stuff like that, and I really didn't see anything different
If anyone has any bright ideas, I'd love to hear it. Or for that matter any other cool suggestions for gear.

Hello dear XDA Forum. I've got a bit of a problem with the Samsung Mega 6.3 of my father. Up until now I have flashed it every month or so with a new rom, but now for the first time I have encountered a problem I can't solve on my own.
After flashing a new Cynogen Mod Rom the Smartphone stopped recognizing the Sim-Card, it won't even let me make a Emergency call.
I've tried several othe Roms now (Broken, other Cynogen Mods, Aokp) but with every rom I get the same error massage "com.android.phone has stopped working".
The only step I got into the right direction was, after reading alot of post about the same problem on other devices I saw that mine didn't have its IMEI anymore, I flashed the original IMEI with an exposed module but the error still remains.
I'm at a standstill and have now idea what I could try now.
Does anyone of you have a clue what the problem could be?
Thanks in advance!

I have tried MHL cable with my fullhd Sony Z2 with a fullhd monitor and it just mirrors the screen. It is not smart enought to get things smaller on a larger screen ie. the icons are huge on monitor, office tools and sheets are too small on mobile screen and so is on the monitor, it should instead be scaled properly. root@cristian-Pavilion:/home/cristian# fastboot erase cache ******** Did you mean to fastboot format this partition? erasing 'cache'... FAILED (remote: erasing error!) finished. total time: 0.011s
I tried flash a new recovery but it failed again...
Any solutions? Thanks in advance :crying:

I was happy to see this flashable package as a standalone, though I only really wanted the integrated Truecaller (the standalone has a horrible interface and is a general nuisance). They claim that the cyanogen accounts is necessary as well, so my question is this: Is it possible to pull those two features, allowing me to flash, without theme chooser, the gallery, and audio fx (these are CM built-in, in more plain versions already)

I have been using xperia sl for past 3 years and i never updated my phone to jelly bean. Always on ICS. Just 3 days ago, i decided to update xperia sl to jelly bean. After updating, xperia sl is now lagging a lot. I haven't even installed any apps yet and still it is lagging like hell.
Is there anyway to make this phone lag free. on ICS, phone never hangs this much but on jelly bean, it hangs even i try to access menu, open messaging, use keyboard etc.
Is there any ROM that can make my xperia sl lag free? Please help.
Below you can find all the details about xperia sl.
This is my first post here in XDA. I hope that I post it at the right place. Please forgive me if I ask anything stupid  I am using an 1020, running Windows 10 TH2 production build (10586). At first, it works well on my phone, but recently there are plenty of problems (unusual battery drain, lag, etc). I did some research around the forum. There are a lot of people who had positive result on Redstone build, some are not so lucky. So I have a few questions for 1020 owner: - On the lastest Redstone production build, is it stable on your 1020? To me the most important feature is the Camera and Glance screen. I saw that the Glance screen will not run on Redstone, it will need some tweaks, but for the Camera, can I still have the awesome 41mpx for my pics? Some people reported that they couldn't change the resolution when using the camera, it stucks at 5mpx. - If Redstone runs well, since I am a noob (sadly), I don't know if it is safer for me to use the CustomROM from djtonka or use DHT Upgrade Advisor method? Thank you for your time and sorry again for all these dumb questions :)

The key features of iNew R9 is: Moonlight by 13MP front camera, Fingerprint with Ceramic techonology, 5.0" SHARP FHD screen, NXP music chipset&Box speaker, 2A fast charge and more.
Most of that, its price will be definitely affordable (iNew need to show the price range).
The phone will be released on next month. What do you think about this new device?

Sounds like a silly title, but it's the first thing that came to mind.
Hi! I've had my Gear S2 Sport for a couple of months now, paired to a Galaxy S7 Edge. Everything has been working fine, except the alarms from time to time. I usually set an alarm directly on my watch to go off at 7:45 am. Now this would work fine for a few weeks, and then I noticed the alarm wasn't going off anymore - the watch's screen would light up and it would vibrate once, very shortly, at 7:45. Now since it's such a short vibration, it's very easy to miss, especially if I'm walking or something, so you can see why this would be a problem.
I checked my settings, the vibration options are all just fine and everything seems in place. I deleted the alarm and created it again, but it was still just giving me the one short nudge instead of going off entirely, the screen doesn't even show the dismiss/snooze dialog. So I deleted the alarm and set another one for 7:50 am. This one worked fine for a while, but I noticed that the watch was still lighting up and giving me one vibration at 7:45, even though that alarm doesn't exist anymore... And a couple of weeks later, the 7:50 alarm went away as well, leaving behind just a nudge at that time (even though I've since deleted it.)
So yeah, now I'm stuck with two "phantom" alarms at 7:45 and 7:50, with a new alarm shortly after that JUST stopped working this week... I'm about to just reset it to factory settings, but wanted to know if anyone else has any similar issues.
Sorry for the length of the post, I'd appreciate any suggestions!

Unfortunately, after charging and attempting to power on, it hangs at the "M" (Motorola) Logo Screen indefinitely! :crying: I AM however able to power it on into the Recovery options!! (I whiped the system Cache but it didn't help)..
Anyhow.. At this point, I want to explore options how to Recover the phone - ways to Root it and load a Custom ROM. Unfortunately though, I am NOT ABLE to access the Phone's Settings to allow Debug mode, or allow Third-party apps, etc..
So is there a way to Recover the phone by Rooting+Custom ROM, considering it wont Boot past the "M" Logo?

The conventional view that small is stunning persisted through the Renaissance. Don't forget about Michelangelo's David or male nude sculptures with the useful resource of different artists of that duration. The penises are quite small. At that factor, "masculinity" had much less to do with Enhance XL the dimensions of someone's penis than with the size of his scrotum. A big scrotum that hung whole and espresso counseled big testicles, which in flip, counseled tremendous potency. At some degree in the Renaissance, penises had been taken into consideration little greater than incidental injection devices for what sincerely counted sperm.

My S6 Edge Plus has had good battery life. I flashed a Note 7 ROM onto it but because of some bugs I decided to flash the latest stock Samsung ROM for my phone from Sammobile on the device. After doing this, I've been experiencing significant battery drain for no reason.
That above was from last night when I had aeroplane mode on, although I was using a sleep tracking app it doesn't usually use that much battery. Starting at 100% before I went to sleep I'm now down to 40% in the morning. This battery drain isn't just at night, but all the time. It appears that Android OS is using the most battery with 48% usage as seen in the image.
Has anyone else had any similar issues? If so how did you fix it? Thanks.

I am having some bluetooth connectivity problem with my moto g 4 US xt1625 Retus channel (non amazon version) stock everything.
Basically the connection to my smartwatch is unstable and keeps dropping on and off.
Normally I would be blaming the smartwatch for this BUT it connects absolutely perfectly to my moto G2 (cyanogenmod 14) without any hint of misbehavior
I've already tried;
Forgetting and re-pairing device (also rebooting phone before repairing)
Factory resetting watch
clearing app data and cache of system bluetooth apps ("bluetooth share" and "bluetooth MIDI")
Disabling 4G (sometimes interferes apparently)
Disabling wifi
Running phone in safe mode.
I also reconnected my smartwatch to my old moto G 2 after trying all these things and it still works perfectly.
Old moto G2 had blutooth 4.0 LE and this moto G4 has bluetooth 4.2 LE which would offer no comparability issues.
Has anyone had any similar problems with their bluetooth?

I create that thread to present you a tutorial learning you how to create a Matrix Effect, also known as Digital Rain Effect, on Android. The tutorial is also available as a Youtube video :
Create a Matrix Effect on Android
Also know as Digital Rain Effect, the Matrix Effect is a classic effect featured in the Matrix series films. A green code is falling and represents the activity of the virtual reality environment of the Matrix on screen. On Android, Matrix Effect has been implemented in various applications often as a Live Wallpaper. In that tutorial, you are going to learn how to create a simple Matrix Effect.
1. Create a Matrix Effect custom View
First, you need to create a custom view named MatrixEffect :
First, we define the variables for the Matrix Effect with the size of the code, the size of a column, the position of the bottom text for each column and then the caracters that will be used for the code. Note that you can put the caracters you want here or why not a custom font.
In the constructor, we initialize the paint objects. To get view width and height, we override the onSizeChanged method of the View. We initialize the position of the first caracter for each column. We use a random position between the top of the screen and the middle of the screen.
Then, we define a draw text method used to draw a random caracter for each column at the position indicated by txtPosByColumn variable.
The drawCanvas method is used to draw the background of our view and then the code.
Finally, we override the onDraw method of our custom view to call the drawCanvas method and invalidate the view to force a redraw. With that call, the Matrix Effect could progress from top to bottom in infinite mode. Note that it is not the most optimized way to manage a Matrix Effect, but for a tutorial it's sufficient.
2. Define the MatrixEffect View on the Layout
Now, we can define the MatrixEffect View on the layout of the Main Activity.
It seems that freezing the google app () leads to bootloop so I would like to defrost the app. Is there any way to do it from twrp?

I purchased this phone (new) few days back, and after using it for a day, i have observed that this phone has overall reddish or pinkish tint on the display. Is this normal?
I have searched a lot about this issue, and what i found, people have talked about two types of displays, one with yellowish/warm colors and other with blueish colors.
My phone doesnt have yellowish tint, but it has reddish tint overall, which is more prominent in low brightness and also when comparing displays with my nexus 4. Is this normal with every lg g4, that this phone has more reddish color than bluish (on cooler displays).

Root SM-T707A on Lollipop with SuperSu - Xposed & Debloated - Part II
Order of the Day:
* Flash Stock Lollipop 5.0.2. * Gain Root access for Lollipop with SuperSU. <---- YOU ARE HERE! * Flash Xposed Framework thru Flashfire. * Debloat the tablet from both AT&T and most of Samsung stuff. * Improve usability and aspect with Xposed Modules.
Once again, some words of our sponsors: NO, I'm NOT resposible for any consequence originated from the use of this guide, being that the death of your tablet, or your smart tv, the Panama Papers or Luis Suarez just playing rough with Filipe Luiz's foot. Whatever happens to your tablet, it's ON YOU.
Part 2: Gain Root access for Lollipop with SuperSU
IMPORTANT - During the first boot on our brand new lollipop, don't try to connect to your WiFi and remove your SimCard if availble before even selecting any option. We don't want any internet at this time. Our first move in Lollipop is to Reject all the AT&T offers.. Then accept terms of Samsung EULA (and hit No Thanks below)...unless you want to share information with Sammy. Then you can put your name (I didn't), it' s up to you. Disable the 3 checkboxes for location services (you can enable this latter). Then skip the Samsung Account creation and hit also Next on my "Find my mobile" screen without doing nothing. Finally, you'll reach the Android Desktop.
Setting the stage for rooting with KingRoot Still avoiding any conection to the internet, go to your apps and tap Settings. Before doing nothin, I strongly suggest you change your language to english in case you use another. If your first language is English, you're good. If it's not, you can change it on General TAB, then "Language and Input". After this, tap the Device tab, choosing then Display option on the left. Choose Screen timeout and select 10 minutes. Now select Lock screen on your left and Screen lock on your right. Tap "None". Now go to "General" tab and tap "Security". Enable the Unknown source checkbox and press OK on the popup.
Press home button. Now you can connect to your Wifi. The moment you got Internet, Samsung will start forcing some updates on your tablet. At the same time, sevral Google popups will ask you to "regularly check devive for security". Decline them all the time!
There is a "Games" app that loves to open itself without asking When that happens, it will introduce you to an agreement that you will REJECT. If it doesn't show, better. But it will eventually.
Now enter the Play Store and Log in with your credentials. Accept the playstore conditions when prompted. If you are kicked out of the app just enter again. Still inside Playstore, now swype from your left to gain access to the menu. Tap "My Apps" and use the "Update All" button on the right. Accept all APP Permisions (seven times in my case).
The update process will start. This will take some time so BE PATIENT and do nothing else. When everything is updated, you'll notice some warning on your status bar. Swipe down your status bar. It will ask several times to Update Google Play Services. Open any of these. Playstore will open again offering an update. Hit Update and Accept. When the update of Google Play Services is finished, hit the Open button.
You gain access to Google Settings. Tap Security. Disable "Remote locate this device" - "Allow remote lock and erase". Disable also "Scan device for security threats" and "Improve harmfull app detection" (unless is greyed out). Hit the home button and go back to desktop.
Installing KingRoot For the next step, you need to download these files on your PC:
Copy them on your tablet's internal memory. Specifically on the root of your internal memory. If you copy them inside a folder, later commands will fail.
Back to your tablet's desktop, look for the folder icon on the bottom left corner. This will open the Samsung File Manager. Look for "Device Storage" on the left column. If you copied the files correctly, you'll find both on the right pane of the display. Extract the RemoveKing.zip file by tapping it and clicking "OK". A RemoveKing folder will appear on the root of you filesystem.
Now open the Kingroot V4.90 file. Hit Next and then Install. If a google warning appears citing - "Installation blocked". Hit "Install anyway" (unsafe). If it doesnt, just hit Open. A blue screen shows up with the legend "ROOT auth". Swipe upwards twice (assuming you're holding your tablet in portrait). Now hit the "Try it" button. The app will verify root status in a matter of seconds. Now tap the "TRY THE ROOT" button at the bottom. When the root is sucessful, you'll be asked to "Forbid Knox". Tap Cancel and press the home button. Now you are rooted with Kingroot.
Installing and preparing Terminal Emulator Now that we are rooted, enter the playstore and install the app "Terminal Emulator for Android". Open it. You'll notice the letters are as small as it gets, so hit the 3 dots on the right upper corner and go to preferences. On Font Size choose 24 pt. Hit the back physical button of the tablet. Now the "white letters" become readable. And it shows something like:
Code:
klimtlteatt:/ $
Next type the following and hit enter:
Code:
su
A Kingroot popup will ask for root permission. Tap "Allow". Now the $ symbol will change for #. Next you hit the HOME button to exit the app briefly (don't close the app in any other way, just hit the HOME button).
Uninstalling KingRoot After that, go to your apps and enter the KingRoot app. Now tap the 3 dots on the upper right corner and select "General Setting". Disable "Smart Authorization", then disable "Enable Root Authorization". Finally choose below "Uninstall KingRoot". Hit Continue. Uncheck "Backup Root" when prompted and hit OK. When all is over, you're back to the desktop. Go back again to your apps and uninstall Purify.
Applying the Scripts Open again Terminal Emulator app (thru the app Icon) . Now we need to hit a couple of scripts by moving first to our extracted folder by entering the following command on the terminal (plus enter):
Code:
cd /sdcard/RemoveKing/
To run the first script type (then press enter):
Code:
./step0.sh
It just takes 3 seconds, then type the following and press enter:
Code:
./step1.sh
This last script will ask for a confirmation during its process. Type just an "y" and hit enter: (WARNING, the Y won't appear on your display after typing it)
Code:
y
You'll notice a bunch of errors, don't mind them.
Installing SuperSU Now hit the home button and go to the play store. Search and Install SuperSU (free version). Open it. Choose Expert. The app will ask "The SU binary needs to be updated, continue?". Hit Continue and then choose "Normal" when asked on the next popup. You'll receive an "Installation Sucess!". Tap the Reboot option.
Congratulations! You are now rooted with SuperSU. After rebooting, enter the Terminal app once more, and tap the X on the right upper corner and hit OK. That will finish the current terminal session.
If you're interested in getting Xposed Framework, go to part 3 of this guide (will upload it tommorrow). If you're just interested in debloating the SM-T707A and improve its performance, go to part 4 (Soon). Part 5 is where I discuss the modules I'm using on Xposed and also some Playstore apps to improve functionality, and remove as much Touchwiz as possible, while also working on better battery life (Soon too).
Final Considerations (suggested reading - not mandatory)
While this guide may seem easy to carryout, it took me almost a month to get SuperSu to work on Lollipop. I'm no coder (a soon to be Certified Public Accountant), and the real magic to pull this off was to try many combinations of different app versions, different situations with google services and several strategies with the script and superSU. In fact, most of KingRoot versions don't work on this tablet to get root, also tried SuperSume app from the playstore. The same could be said for KingoRoot (don't confuse it with KingRoot), it worked but I couldn't remove it without losing root.
Why I'm telling you this? Because using KingRoot and similar apps to root this tablet, your mileage may vary while doing it. In fact, even while applying my first two guides there's a respectable chance of KingRoot tool failing to root your tablet. If you followed this couple of guides to the last comma, your chances of success are very close to 100%. But I have noticed in similar Galaxy Tab S threads, that the use of KingRoot and KingoRoot to achieve root is just a matter of using the root tool many times until it works, and I wanted to avoid you guys going thru that. To take sucess rate as close as it gets to 100%, we took all of this steps. They were included to avoid many failures. I believe they're are 99% flawless to achieve root on Lollipop with SuperSU.
Also, the second script won't remove many KingRoot files, because it was thought for KingoRoot on KitKat. I have to give myself more time to develop something that really cleansup the leftovers of KingRoot.
Special Thanks
* @chixvicious - For showing how to achieve the same over KitKat and KingoRoot instead. * @bakageta - For creating these scripts for the Alcatel smartphone over KingoRoot. * @Kingxteam - For developing KingRoot to allow us to root our device.

Root SM-T707A on Lollipop with SuperSu - Xposed & Debloated - Part I
The purpose of this thread is to provide several guides (written by myself) to achieve the following on the SM-T707A tablet:
* Flash Stock Lollipop 5.0.2 <---- YOU ARE HERE! * Gain Root access for Lollipop with SuperSU. * Flash Xposed Framework thru Flashfire. * Debloat the tablet from both AT&T and most of Samsung stuff. * Improve usability and aspect with Xposed Modules.
But first, some words of our sponsors: NO, I'm NOT resposible for any consequence originated from the use of this guide, being that the death of your tablet, your phone, North Korea launching a nuclear strike or the Sixers winning the Larry O'Brien Trophy. Whatever happens to your tablet, it's ON YOU.
Introduction (recommended reading - not mandatory):
Four weeks ago I managed to capture this tablet for a very decent price on eBay. After buying an HTC 10, my bank account was in ashes and I was growing impatient with my unstable iPad mini 2. I wanted to live the full android experience on a tablet, while spending a mere $ 150.00. Buying a Pixel C was clearly out of the question. So, after some research, the T707A had the 8 cores, 3gb of RAM and also the AWS LTE neeeded for my country (Uruguay). Perfect match!
I was already drooling about installing CM and all the stuff to take this beast to the next level. With the tablet in my hands, just 5 minutes of -late- XDA reading made me realize that...CM wasn't happening (Locked BL). The consolation prize was to root the tablet with the infamous kingoroot and use Xposed to eviscerate as much bloat and touchwiz as possible. Sadly, that same kingoroot paired with a not-so-good battery life and the inability to use xposed almost put me back on the market for another tablet.
But...(there's always one) last monday, after several weeks of failures, there was a breakthru. SuperSU was breathing. Minutes later, Xposed modules where flying off the shelves and suddenly, the T707A was back into the game with more speed and less touchwiz feel. Since most of my objectives were met on Monday, if AT&T releases MM and someone helps us pulling that, I would love to achieve the same over MM. But, what didn't worked in this case (updating a rooted device), will have to in MM to manage the same results. At least we can enjoy lollipop in the meantime.
Part 1: Flashing Stock Lollipop
If you're standing on Kitkat or, in Lollipop but messed too much with the system and want a fresh start, over the following lines we'll comment on the process of flashing stock kitkat (with odin), and afterwards applying the OTA zip files to reach Lollipop. We can't flash straight to Lollipop because we don't have the firmware for that. So, if you're already on Lollipop and only want SuperSU root, you can use my next guide BUT I STRONGLY SUGGEST you to flash kitkat first and update to lollipop with this guide to raise your sucess chances. Remember that doing that you are going to lose all your files, the flashing process ERASES EVERYTHING. So please BACKUP!
You'll need to download the following files, have an external MicroSD card (on your tablet), a PC and a microUSB cable.
For Odin to work properly, you might need the Samsung USB drivers. Chances are you already have them installed in place. You'll know that in a minute.
Flashing KitKat 4.4.2 with Odin
Extract the Odin.zip in some handy place. Also, move the BL,AP,CP and CSC files to the same folder where Odin was extracted. Last, copy the Update.zip and Update2.zip to your EXTERNAL MicroSD card that's mounted on your tablet.
With your tablet disconnected from the USB cable, open Odin3 v3.09.exe. We have to put the tablet in Download Mode. Make sure the tablet was turned OFF first. Now press and mantain the HOME and VOL DOWN buttons and then press the POWER button. All 3 buttons at the same time until the screen turns on with a Warning!! message. Now release the 3 buttons and just press the VOL UP to access download mode.
The Android robot will appear with the legend "Downloading...Do not turn off target!!". Connect the USB cable to your computer and tablet. If done correctly, the Odin screen will show this legend below ID:COM:
"0:[COM1]" (the numbers on this legend are not relevant, and may differ).
If 0:[COM1] appears below ID:COM, we are good! If not, you have to try installing the Samsung USB drivers, or changing the USB port on your computer (use rear ports please!).
The last part of this segment is to choose the 4 files we have copied to our Odin folder. You have to select them on the Odin screen on the right "Files (Download)". Hit the BL button and select the BL file. Do the same for the other 3 files. BE PATIENT!. After selecting every file, do not touch anything else until Odin shows the route of the file to the right of the button you pressed. The AP button may take up to 20 seconds to display the route after choosing the AP file.
The 4 files are set, so you just hit START and wait for 6 minutes. By the end, you'll have stock KitKat, and your tablet will show you the Samsung first use wizard. PLEASE don't touch anything during those 6 minutes!!!. A green "PASS!" will show in ODIN when its finished.
Flashing the OTAs for Lollipop 5.0.2
The tablet will boot and show Samsung first use wizard. Disconnect your USB cable and power OFF the tablet. Now we have to access Recovery Mode. Hold the HOME and VOL UP buttons and press the POWER button. When the GALAXY TAB logo appears, release only the POWER button while maintaining the VOL UP and HOME buttons pressed.
You're faced with Recovery Mode. Using VOL DOWN, move the cursor and highlight "apply update from external storage" and press the POWER button. Now move the cursor again to highlight "Update.zip" and press the POWER button. This will flash the first update file. When finished, the tablet will reboot itself. That will take you again to the Samsung first use wizard, so once more power OFF the tablet.
We need to enter "Recovery Mode" again (HOME + VOL UP + POWER). And again we have to apply an "update from external storage" but this we do apply file Update2.zip. Now Lollipop is being flashed. Ignore any error that might appear in red letters on your tablet.
After yet another automatic reboot, the tablet will boot the Samsung Wizard but now in Lollipop. Before putting your fingers on the display, PLEASE don't conect to your WiFi or use Internet over your Data Plan. Remove your simcard and don't use your Wifi until I tell you.
Now that you know that, head to our second guide to continue (here).
